Wheel throwing beginners – June 2025. Thursday 10-13

Welcome to our Wheel Throwing Beginners course! This course is designed for those who are new to pottery and want to learn how to create pottery on the wheel. Our morning sessions will take place on Thursdays from 10 to 13, starting in June 2025. Each session is 3 hours long and will provide you with the basic skills needed to create functional and beautiful pieces of pottery.

In this course, you will learn the following:

• How to prepare clay for wheel throwing
• How to center the clay on the wheel
• How to create basic shapes, such as cylinders and bowls
• How to trim and finish your pieces

The course will consist of 4 lessons, each lasting 3 hours. You will have plenty of one-on-one instruction from our experienced pottery teacher and opportunities to practice your skills on the wheel.

We provide all of the necessary tools and materials, including clay, pottery wheels, and firing services. All you need to bring is your creativity and enthusiasm for learning! The glaze baking with transparent glaze is included in the price & if you like to use other colours we mix them for you in our studio and it costs 8 € per bottle (200 ml)

The classes are held in english but the theacher speaks & understands Netherlands.
